We’re excited to share recent features that highlight the K-Women: Celebrating Korean Female Artists exhibition at Kingston Museum.

The Kingston Courier presents an insightful interview with our curator and three participating artists (Soo Hyun Lee/ Dina Jin Bae/ Betty Kim), offering a closer look into the exhibition and the personal journeys behind the work. This conversation delves into themes of identity, cultural displacement, and the experiences of Korean women artists navigating life between two cultures.

Additionally, Hallyu! Kingston, a visual story by Kingston University, explores the broader context of the Korean Wave ('Hallyu') and its impact on the local community in Kingston upon Thames. This feature includes a detailed timeline of Korean cultural influence in the area and highlights the significance of the K-Women exhibition within this narrative.

These features collectively underscore the vibrant contributions of Korean artists to the cultural tapestry of Kingston and beyond.
